Jack-O-Lantern
Contest
As
in years past, we will have the annual Jack-O-Lantern contest at the
Sierra Expedition Fall Campout. We do not supply the pumpkins. You
need to bring your own pumpkin.
You may wish to clean your pumpkin in
advance in order to have more time for carving at the campout.
The
contest is held in front of the dining hall. After carving your
pumpkin, you should move it into the dining hall.
Rules
- Princesses are to trace the face.
- Fathers may help carve the pumpkins.
- Princesses paint and decorate the outside pumpkin.
Details of this activity
- Carving can be done anytime Saturday afternoon.
- Bring your Jack-O-Lantern to the Dining Hall after dinner.
- Fill out contest entry form, place it on table, and set your
Jack-O-Lantern on top of the form.
- Judging is done by the Expedition Officers during the Saturday
night snack time.
- There will be 5 different age categories for judging, K. 1st,
2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade levels with special awards given to the 1st,
2nd, and 3rd place finishers. EVERYONE WHO ENTERS THE CONTEST WILL
RECEIVE AN AWARD.
